# Hebrew localization rollout ## Developer handoff audit — 12 September 2026 A source scan and render checks found additional English fallbacks in profile guidance, account fields, confirmation-dialog explanations, status labels and photo-credit explanatory copy. These now have Hebrew wording. Dynamic one/many provider, supplier and company counts are localized as whole phrases. The new developer kickoff/download controls have Hebrew copy as well. URLs, amounts, brand/model names and entered content are preserved. The current checklist is `HANDOFF_READINESS.md`; exported routes are in `CURRENT_ROUTE_INVENTORY.md`. Earlier notes below are historical release snapshots. Independent native Hebrew review and interactive desktop/mobile RTL review remain outstanding. This pass does not claim to complete Arabic, multilingual SEO, external attribution translation, the English PDF or technical handoff prose. Static candidates in retired Projects and unused legacy components are not part of the current live navigation. ## Final proofreading and release preparation — 11 September 2026 Reviewed the Hebrew marketplace, customer, provider and public copy dictionaries and dynamic labels. Corrected notification grammar, loading-state wording, an awkward maintenance schedule, support/account wording and inconsistent sample-total presentation. The trusted-provider directory now uses the same terminology as the Trusted badge and its placement explanations. Singular day/minute labels no longer use plural nouns. The English logo, visual design, business rules, prices and entered user content are unchanged. The user has authorized publication of all accumulated batches. Earlier “not published” notes below describe the state at each batch's completion. This release includes refreshed runnable source and reference-kit downloads. Publication success must be confirmed by Sites deployment status, not inferred from a build or source push. This is an automated proofreading pass, not independent human language approval. Desktop/mobile browser visual review remains blocked by the existing browser-access restriction; source/render checks do not replace it. Technical handoff documentation and the explicitly English photo-guide PDF remain in English. Navigation follow-up: the shared header now uses one localized Browse dropdown with a route-derived current section. Home search category buttons were removed; the retained Browse Categories tabs control its scope. The legacy marketplace search no longer repeats category buttons. This change does not mark the remaining Hebrew batches complete. ## Batch 1 — marketplace foundation Hebrew terminology, home/category navigation, shared listing cards, equipment/parts/materials/service discovery, company directory cards and equipment/supply detail copy are connected to the locale layer. Search indexes both canonical English and Hebrew labels, including Hebrew without vowel marks. Empty categories and unavailable listings stay disabled. Form values, URLs, IDs and model numbers remain canonical. KLIGO's official logo files are unchanged. `hebrew-copy.ts` contains reviewed product wording; `hebrew.ts` handles quantities, units and compound display values. `InterfaceText` translates at the React render boundary. `localized-controls.tsx` translates field hints and accessible labels without modifying entered values or option keys. No DOM text replacement or runtime translation service is used. Language: concise contemporary Israeli Hebrew. Use “זירת הבנייה”, “בעלי מקצוע”, “חלקי חילוף”, “חומרי בנייה”, “מיני מחפר”, “מיני מעמיס”, “מחפרון”, “הובלה” and “איסוף עצמי” consistently. Labels use nouns/infinitives where practical; instructions use plural forms. Paid listings remain explicitly “ממומן”; promotion is not a verification claim. ## Batch 2 — registration and customer workflows Registration, account/profile/settings, requests, quote comparisons, booking configuration/review/payment preview/confirmation, saved items, messages, notifications, security and support now render curated Hebrew through `hebrew-customer-copy.ts`. Shared billing is included in Batch 3. Whole-phrase translations take priority over generic word patterns. Plural counts, empty states and booking dates use Hebrew wording. Request and conversation searches recognize Hebrew while preserving IDs and filter values. Native select options have explicit canonical values. Seed conversation text and support replies are translated; newly typed messages remain untouched, with automatic text direction. The support assistant recognizes Hebrew topic questions and keeps its existing demo limitations. Support downloads translate interface headings and preserve submitted text. Checked with rendered Hebrew customer screens, registration value/validation checks, booking stages, Hebrew search/support routing and the existing regression suite. Browser visual review and human language review remain open for Batch 4; this is not a claim that the full application has finished localization. ## Batch 3 — provider operations and commercial screens Provider overview, listings/editor/preview, requests, quotes, bookings, availability, messages, company editor, account controls, campaigns, placement explanations, performance, plans, listing packs, checkout copy, shared billing/invoices and badge review copy use `hebrew-provider-copy.ts`. Prices, tax calculations, plan names, eligibility rules and canonical option values are unchanged. Hebrew calendar headings and bilingual provider searches use the same records as English. Unchanged demonstration text can be localized through `SeedText`; authored listing descriptions, message bodies, uploaded filenames and billing details stay as entered. Profile and quote editors localize unchanged seed prose for display without changing stored data. Booking-summary downloads localize their interface copy. The logo remains English. Verification covers Hebrew server rendering, canonical form values, unchanged ad prices and review requirements, Hebrew search, user-text preservation, type checking, production build and regression tests. Checkout and popup wording is checked through its render boundaries and translation data; interactive browser/visual review is still outstanding. This batch is saved as source, not published. ## Batch 4 — public pages and handoff Public provider profiles, demonstration reviews, customer/provider guides, trust guidance, legal drafts and the photo-guide webpage use `hebrew-public-copy.ts`. Legal warnings remain explicit. Changed profile names and descriptions remain untouched. Shared gallery labels and catalog image descriptions use the locale layer. Tabs receive the locale direction for keyboard behavior, and `page-titles.ts` supplies localized browser titles; this is not multilingual SEO routing. Map label expressions prefer Hebrew names when present and fall back to source names without moving listing coordinates or resetting the viewport. Actual map-font rendering and live interaction remain part of the pending browser review. The Developer Kit explains which archive is runnable and which is reference-only. Full-source export now includes `db` and `content`. Both archives include `START_HERE.md`. Technical handoff documentation stays English for the developer. The existing photo PDF is explicitly labeled English; users can print/save the Hebrew on-screen guide instead. This batch is saved as source, not published. Final desktop/mobile browser review is blocked by the existing browser-access denial; do not work around it. Human Hebrew review and remaining accessible-label/fallback-English checks are still required before calling the entire application complete. Proper names, product/model codes, external map/image credits and technical code examples may remain in their original language. Customer-entered content must not be treated as product copy. ## Review checks ### Batch 5 — follow-up audit fixes Localized native accessible labels across public navigation, customer/provider workspaces, search results, filters, maps, reviews and loading states. Dynamic conversation labels preserve company names and remove-file labels preserve filenames. Shared search, status and mobile navigation controls now translate their presentation copy. Parts/materials quote forms, error states and the trusted-provider directory were wired to existing Hebrew copy, with full-sentence confirmation wording and unchanged submitted values. The quote and provider-support routes now have Hebrew browser titles. Corrected the shared modal's horizontal positioning so its centering does not reverse in RTL. This is a source-level correction, not a completed visual inspection. No palette, button dimensions, navigation structure or logo assets changed. Source/SSR checks do not replace browser interaction and visual review. The existing browser-access restriction still prevents that review; publication is not part of this batch. Technical Developer Kit explanations, external credits and the English photo-guide PDF remain explicitly outside the Hebrew consumer-interface translation. Arabic completion is a separate, later task. - Hebrew catalog search and disabled suggestions; price/unit formatting and one/many quantities. - Hebrew listing rendering, unchanged model names/links/input values; English and Arabic regression checks. - Mobile and desktop RTL: tabs, input/select spacing, carousel direction, mixed-script values and button labels. - Human Hebrew copy review and browser visual review are still required before calling the entire application complete. - Refresh the Developer Kit/source archives from the same source revision at each build.
